- Senior Investment Operations Analyst (Remote - India)
Description
The Senior Investment Operations Analyst will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy,
integrity, and scalability of the firm's operational, reporting, and data-management infrastructure.
The firm utilizes an outsourced middle-back-office vendor, so the day-to-day operations role is
one of oversight/validation/troubleshooting rather than performing clerical trade reconciliations.
Process Improvement & Automation
One of the most important aspects of this role is helping the firm become increasingly scalable.
Responsibilities include:
o Building advanced Excel reporting solutions
o Creating automated workflows
o Developing dashboards and monitoring tools
o Improving operational controls
o Eliminating manual processes
o Enhancing reporting efficiency

Service Provider & Vendor Oversight
Coordinate with:
o Custodians
o Portfolio accounting providers
o Outsourced middle- and back-office providers
o Compliance consultants
o Technology vendors
o Performance reporting providers
o Monitor service quality, timeliness, accuracy, and operational effectiveness
GIPS® Compliance & Control Environment
Support the firm's adherence to Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®), including:
o Composite maintenance
o Documentation management
o Supporting annual reviews and verifications
o Data validation, Process documentation, Control monitoring
o Help maintain a robust operational control framework
Investment Data & Analytics
Utilize investment databases and market data systems to:
o Extract portfolio data
o Validate security-level information
o Support investment reporting
o Generate portfolio analytics
o Build management dashboards
o Leverage Refinitiv Workspace and other systems to improve reporting quality and efficiency
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Experience
7-10 years of relevant experience supporting an institutional buy-side global equities firm in:
o Investment operations
o Portfolio administration
o GIPS®-compliant performance reporting
o Fund operations including Shadow NAV oversight
o Middle-and back office processes
o Asset management operations and workflows
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
o Portfolio accounting
o Investment performance measurement
o Composite reporting (familiarity with GIPS® is highly desirable)
o Management-fee (flat and performance) calculations
o Cash-flow processing
o Investment operational workflows and controls
o International/global equity and foreign exchange markets
o Trade lifecycle concepts from front office to back office
Systems Experience
Hands-on experience with:
o Portfolio Accounting Systems (PAS) such as Eagle
o Order Management Systems (OMS) such as Advent or CRD
o Refinitiv Workspace, Bloomberg, FactSet. Morningstar or similar databases
o Microsoft Excel & Power BI
o AI Tools such as Claude, Prompt Engineering and Context Protocol Management
Advanced Excel Skills (Critical)
This is a power-user role.
o Candidates should be highly proficient in:
o Complex nested formulas, dynamic arrays, advanced lookups
o Multi-source reconciliations and data validation
o Dashboard creation and reporting automation
o Large dataset management
o Knowledge of VBA, Power Query, Power Pivot, Python, or similar tools is a strong plus

Preferred Qualifications
CFA Charter holder or CFA Program Candidate
MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification
Experience supporting operations of buy-side global equities’ investment firms
Experience working with or at global custodians
Experience with GIPS® compliant performance reporting
