Senior Director of Perioperative Services
The Senior Director of Perioperative Services will provide visionary leadership for perioperative clinical services within the organization, ensuring high-quality care delivery and alignment with strategic objectives with overall responsibility for a group of designated department/units within their span of control. This role will emphasize building effective teams, fostering professional development, driving process improvement, and managing financial performance, all while modeling personal and professional accountability. The Senior Director will articulate a clear vision for perioperative care and lead transformative change within the organization.
Minimum Education
- Graduate of approved school of nursing with BSN degree.
- Graduate level degree in relevant field (MSN, MHA, MBA, etc.)
- Doctorate level degree in relevant field, encouraged (DNP, DHA, PhD, etc.)
Minimum Work Experience
- 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
- Clinical experience as an operating room nurse.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in high-acuity environment.
- Experience with financial management in healthcare setting.
- Experience leading in union environment preferred.
- Leadership experience in Magnet-designated or academic medical center preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Current RN Licensure in the State of Vermont.
- Relevant specialty certification such as CNOR or CSSM*
- Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation training program
*or obtained within 1 year of hire.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of quality improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and foster collaboration.
- Strong Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
Pay Range = $157,000 - $229,000
Compensation details: 157000-229000 Yearly Salary
