Location: Boston, MA

A leading global investment advisory and portfolio management firm is seeking a Managing Director to join its Private Client team. This individual will play a key leadership role in overseeing sophisticated multi-asset class portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices, while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and helping drive business growth. Client relationships range from approximately $100 million to several billion dollars in assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management and oversight of customized investment portfolios for private clients.
• Develop investment strategy, asset allocation recommendations, and portfolio construction decisions across public and private markets.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, family offices, boards, and investment committees.
• Conduct investment manager due diligence, selection, and ongoing monitoring.
• Partner with business development teams to support client acquisition and relationship growth.
• Mentor and develop junior investment professionals while contributing to a high-performance team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CFA preferred.
• 12-15+ years of investment management experience within an investment firm, institutional investor, OCIO platform, wealth management firm, or family office.
• Deep expertise in asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager research, and capital markets.
• Experience advising sophisticated high-net-worth families, family offices, or institutional clients.
• Strong relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Established network within the family office and broader investment community preferred.
