- Executive Leadership Practice Manager
Description
Vital Signs Resource Management (VSRM) is seeking an experienced and strategic Executive Leadership Practice Manager to oversee business management for two democratic physician groups: Emergency Medical Specialists (EMS) and Peak Medical Care (PMC). This position reports directly to the President and CEO of VSRM. This position will oversee revenue cycle management (RCM), human resources, financial performance, and both physician and employee engagement across the organizations that it manages. This position requires significant coordination with physician leadership in both EMS and PMC.
This is a key leadership role for a collaborative healthcare leader passionate about supporting independent physician-led practices. This position does not offer a hybrid or remote work option and will require relocation to the Southern Colorado market with an office location in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Requirements
- Participate in multi-year strategic planning process. Translate organizational objectives into actionable plans, while prioritizing company mission, values and culture.
- Work with partners in Coding/Billing and revenue cycle management (RCM) to include contracting with third party payers, strategies utilizing IDR, non-medical insurance payors and collections.
- Establish and help monitor performance metrics and KPIs for group and practice performance. Work with physician leaders on monitoring and optimizing metrics/statistics.
- Review, monitor and negotiate key partner contracts including Emergency Services, Medical Direction, and RCM company agreements.
- Work closely with the CFO on compensation models, tax planning, financial analysis, legal issues, etc.
- Lead workforce management for the practice, including recruiting, leadership development, employee lifecycle activities, performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and retention strategies, while leveraging physician and practice performance metrics to support quality, productivity, and organizational goals.
- Remain current on healthcare trends and monitor emerging developments in independent physician group practice and logistics.
- Ensure robust compliance with all regulations, maintaining a high-performing environment. Coordinate response to legal issues and claims.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (MBA/MHA preferred).
- Previous experience as a CAO, Practice Manager or similar role in an independent physician practice or medical group.
- Experience navigating competing priorities and achieving results through relationships, negotiation and credibility.
- Extensive knowledge of physician practice management, healthcare contracting, human resource oversight, revenue cycle management, and financial performance.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, interacting with medical leadership and improving organizational performance.
- Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Emergency Medicine leadership experience strongly preferred.
