Reporting to the Executive Director Corporate Finance, you will be responsible for originating and executing the largest and most complex transactions in Major Client Group (MCG). This is also an important people leadership role, with responsibility for leading and developing a team of three direct reports. You will play a key role in building capability, fostering a high-performance culture, and creating an environment where individuals can thrive and deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.
The role has accountability for delivering revenue and balance sheet growth targets, while effectively managing client risk and supporting the broader MCG business to lift capability and performance.
More specifically you will:
- Support the MCG network to identify and originate event-driven finance transactions from within the client base
- Drive deal origination through ownership of the debt advisory segment of the market
- Generate and present strategic financing ideas to clients and identify growth opportunities across the MCG portfolio
- Lead transaction execution including deal structuring, process management, documentation and selected post-deal management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, referral sources and internal stakeholders

We want to hear from you if you have:

- Proven people leadership experience, with a track record of coaching, developing and inspiring high-performing teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, build trust and manage complex conversations across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated capability in delivering effective coaching conversations, providing constructive feedback and developing talent
- A background in Leveraged Finance, Project Finance or Corporate Advisory, with strong credit risk and execution experience
- Strong sales leadership capability and a proven ability to originate transaction opportunities
- A successful track record of building and leveraging relationships with senior client executives
- Postgraduate qualifications in Business or Finance (MBA, Masters Finance, CFA) and/or professional accounting qualifications (CA, CPA)
This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded leader who combines strong transaction expertise with exceptional people leadership capabilities. You'll have the opportunity to shape client outcomes, develop future talent and make a meaningful impact on the growth and success of our Corporate Finance business.
