About the Role:
As Head of Supply Chain for Poland, you handle the full supply chain process for the market. You represent the business in Poland and ensure operational excellence. Sitting on the Poland Leadership Team, you will shape how Diageo shows up for customers every day by delivering product availability with precision, service with pride, and performance with purpose.
This is a high-impact, visible leadership role, responsible for unlocking value through seamless planning, strategic customer collaboration, and supply-led innovation. You'll lead a cross-functional team covering direct and indirect reporting lines for forecasting, logistics, master data, and customer supply, with a relentless focus on agility, cost efficiency, and service performance.
This role will also cover similar responsibilities for Greece market, dotted line reporting to Greece GM, for 12 months.
Key responsibilities
- End-to-End Market Supply Leadership: Own the supply chain across the market from demand planning to customer delivery. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and agility in how products move from forecast to shelf.
- Customer-Centric Execution: Build strategic partnerships with the customers to drive value in the end to end supply chain . Build and deliver Joint Business Plans together with commercial teams. Lead the supply chain strategic partnership with customers for #1 supplier agenda.
- Sales and Operations Planning: Lead the market interface to the market-level planning process led by central market planning team , including forecast accuracy, demand alignment, and short-term operations. Ensure business planning cycles are integrated, data-led, and commercially grounded.
- Order-to-Cash Performance: Own the full order-to-cash process for the market.
- Service, Cost, Cash, Carbon: Deliver the four key supply metrics-high service levels, lean cost structures, smart working capital, and tangible sustainability improvements in our logistics and delivery operations.
- Team Leadership & Capability Building: Inspire and lead a cross-functional local team, including customer supply leads, data managers, and distribution partners. Create a culture of empowerment, pace, and continuous improvement.
- Innovation Driven by Supply: Collaborate with the commercial and innovation teams to support successful product launches, brand transitions, and portfolio changes - ensuring speed-to-market and flawless supply readiness.
- Data, Systems & Process Field: Embed process excellence and use of tools such as SAP and Anaplan to improve visibility, planning quality, and decision-making.
- Customer Collaboration: Build strategic partnerships with the customers to drive value in the end to end supply chain for a total productivity and profitable growth; lead the agenda to become #1 supplier.
Interfaces:
This role operates within a highly complex and evolving network with the following dimensions:
- All the Countries/Route to Market channels supervised by the market MD/GM, and consequently all the customers.
- All SC&P interfaces (function, category). The market holds multiple consumer occasions, and multiple product categories such as, and not limited to Whisk(e)y, Tequila, Gin, Vodka, Rum, Ready to Drink, Low/No Alc, Baileys.
- Digital tools such as, and not limited to APO, OMP, SAP S4 Hana, Anaplan.
Experience required/Skills/Capabilities
- Having directly worked with senior business leadership.
- Customer engagement, especially in Modern Retail, with demonstrated success in improving customer service to industry leading levels, both as measured by the customer, as well as Advantage Survey,
- Hands-on logistics experience
- Experience working within progressive positions within the end-to-end Supply Chain function, within multiple fields. First-hand planning experience in Customer Engagement, IBP, S&OP, S&OE, Demand Planning is crucial.
- Leading change and innovation across the supply chain, through value driven collaborative partnership. Experience in designing, shaping, and implementing complex change agenda and transferring work from one location to another.
- Has developed and efficiently implemented strategies.
- Has led cost savings in the past,
- Experience in multiple routes to markets including e-commerce.
Skills/Capabilities:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written combined with the ability to engage effectively at all levels in the organisation.
- Digital dexterity. Previous experience (and hunger to learn) on advanced planning tools, digital control towers, BI, etc.
Desirable:
- Experience with direct operational accountability of delivery on outcomes in a market of a group of markets working in a multinational CPG / FMCG
- BSc or equivalent experience in industrial engineering, supply chain, data science/statistics/applied mathematics, economics. An MBA or MSc in Supply Chain Management or similar, or equivalent experience, would be desirable.
