Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) is a global retail organization dedicated to revolutionizing the grocery shopping experience through enhanced efficiency, quality, and affordability. At its core, WWGS Private Brands (PB) serves as a crucial strategic division that develops, sources, and manages our Whole Foods Market (WFM) and Amazon-branded proprietary food products across all geographic regions. Operating as a unified force, Private Brands supports both North American and International operations by leveraging cross-functional expertise in product development, sourcing, sensory, commercialization and quality assurance to bring our products to market end-to-end across all WFM and Amazon channels. Through the integration of Whole Foods Market (WFM) and Amazon-branded products, Private Brands enables WWGS to deliver high-quality, innovative products and brands while maintaining operational excellence across diverse global markets. This collaborative structure allows WWGS to rapidly scale its food portfolio while maintaining consistent quality standards and efficient processes throughout its worldwide operations. This team manages the Amazon Saver, Amazon Grocery, byAmazon, Aplenty, Amazon Kitchen, 365 by WFM (including our organic products), and Whole Foods Market brands.WWGS Japan & APAC owns the development and growth of our Food PB portfolio, inclusive of Whole Foods Market. We develop the food PB expansion and growth strategy to support our broader Grocery efforts across Core Consumables, Amazon Fresh, Express Mart, Quick Commerce, and Sub-Same Day Grocery working across multiple channels and partner teams. Our team is responsible for multiple functions, including Sourcing, Product Development, Quality, and Commercialization.
The Sr. Program Manager, Worldwide Grocery Stores, APAC serves as an entrepreneurial, creative and data-focused program manager for our Food PB business in Japan and APAC. We require an individual who combines a passion for consumers and food with a willingness to move fast and experiment often.
This role will be responsible for leading cross functional projects across WWGS, Core Consumables, Amazon Fresh, Express Mart, Quick Commerce, Food Safety, Legal, Operations and Marketing in both Japan and Singapore. Also, this role will own planning and establishing processes and mechanisms to drive fundamental value developments.
Additionally, this role will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, be motivated by a fast-paced start up environment, and will be comfortable both thinking big and diving deep. You need to work backwards from the customer to define and prioritize requirements for our product and brand. This requires strong leadership skills and interaction with cross-functional teams. You will work closely with the cross functional team to grow our business.

Program Management & Cross-Functional Leadership
• \tDrive management and support of cross-functional projects across WWGS, JP/SG stores, Fresh and other teams to drive CX enhancement and fundamental value development
• \tOwn the development, planning, and cross-functional communication of business development schedules
• \tCollaborate with and influence cross-functional teams and leaders across multiple stakeholders
• \tPartner closely with various teams to deliver on customer expectations, operating profit, and channel requirements while meeting tight deadlines
• \tCommunicate, represent, and uphold WWGS core values and leadership principles
• \tDemonstrate bias for action, ownership mentality, and customer obsession in all activities
• \tCreate and maintain PRFAQs, and six-pagers to articulate product vision and strategy
• \tDrive the Product Innovation pipeline with the commercialization team
• \tIdentify opportunities to fill the innovation pipeline through customer insights, market research, and cross-functional collaboration
• \tPartner with Product Commercialization, R&D, Legal, and Quality Assurance to bring products to market efficiently while managing risk
• \tEstablish and track meaningful metrics to measure product performance and customer satisfaction
Business Ownership & Analytics
• \tPartner with channels to implement marketing and merchandising tactics
• \tEstablish and develop relationships with key strategic suppliers to deliver growth innovations
• \tConduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews with data-driven insights and root cause analysis
• \tDevelop and maintain product dashboards with key performance indicators to track progress against goals
• \tDive deep into business performance and underlying reasons to inform business decisions
• \tUnderstand the critical 4Ps (Product, Price, Placement, Promotion) and work with partner teams to bring products to life effectively for customers
• \tMake data-informed decisions by leveraging both qualitative and quantitative customer insights
• \tCollaborate with NA, EU, JP Category Merchant stakeholders across multiple teams on achieving financial plans and category objectives
• \tDevelop risk mitigation strategies including contingency plans, lead-time reductions, and supply chain efficiency

• \tCollaboration and influencing cross-functional team and leaders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources, or related field
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross-functionally with non-tech teams and senior stakeholders
- Business English & Japanese proficiency (verbal and written)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Knowledge of current industry standards
