Description
Job DescriptionProject Finance Manager is responsible for managing the Governance and the Project Financial Reporting of bank wide related (Tech) projects. This role requires to work very closely with Tech within Mashreq and especially the Head of Tech / Head of Transformation office. The Project Finance Manager will review financial business cases of Tech projects, drive the Tech related Budget Management for Tech and the various business and functions, provide timely financial reports to the stakeholders, Identifying and mitigating Financial Risks, Complying with Internal Policies and regulations, ensuring coordination with Project Managers for timely capitalisation and recording of Assets, Assist Transformation Office in overall Governance of the Projects.
Responsibilities
- Work with transformation office in driving and the Tech Project Financial reporting of bank wide related projects (for all business and functions) in close alignment with the Transformation Office.
- Critical Financial evaluation of the Executive summary / CapEx proposals and ensure all elements are captured as per the standard
- Ensure all relevant documentation and approvals are stored in the Central Project repository
- Creation of Project in Oracle system and assigning the Budget as approved and monitor the same.
- Provide timely financial reports / dashboards to the stakeholders on the project financials.
- Coordination with Project Mangers, Transformation Office, CAD for the timely capitalization of the Projects and recording of Fixed Assets as per the Policy
- Alert the Management / Transformation Office on the cost overrun, excess underutilization / non -utilization of budgets etc. on a timely manner
- Validate for the correct chargeability, usage of appropriate Item codes, GL in Oracle I procurement
- On Project closure, ensure for closing the same in system, coordinate with Project Managers, CPD for the close of unused LPOs etc.
- Ensure compliance with Internal policies and regulations on every stage of the project as applicable
- Actively involve and drive in the Annual CapEx Planning Exercise with Tech / Business Leads and with Transformation Office
Qualifications
- Must hold Master's in Finance / accounting or CA / MBA Finance with at least 5-8 years of experience in banking industry in managing multiple technology projects financials and its reporting
- Knowledge and affinity with projects and program management, and Tech projects and topics.
- Strong acumen in analyzing the financial data and proficient in project / financial software and tools
- High problem-solving skills and ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with the stakeholders across the organisation
- Effective communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Effective Team worker
