Position: Associate / Senior AssociateLocation: South Carolina

A South Carolina-based private equity firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate or Senior Associate to join its investment team. The firm specializes in control-oriented investments in lower middle-market companies across the industrials, manufacturing, value-add distribution, and infrastructure sectors. With a hands-on approach to value creation, the firm partners with management teams to drive operational improvements and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, deal execution, and portfolio management.
- Conduct industry and company research to identify attractive investment opportunities within the firm's target sectors.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential transactions and monitor portfolio company performance.
- Assist in the preparation of investment committee materials and presentations.
- Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to implement strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
- Monitor market trends and maintain a strong understanding of sector dynamics.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate development, with a strong preference for candidates with exposure to industrials or infrastructure-related sectors.
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred but not required.
