Description
What are we looking forWe are seeking a market intelligence and thought leadership specialist with strong analytical and content writing skills to interpret industry themes and assess market and regulatory developments shaping the investment services landscape.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of securities markets, asset servicing, and the corresponding evolving regulatory environment, with the ability to distill complex technical information into clear, insight-led perspectives for institutional audiences. This role will contribute directly to the firm's external thought leadership agenda to strengthen our positioning.
The candidate should demonstrate initiative, exercise independent judgment, and effectively manage multiple priorities while meeting demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Point-of-View Development
- Develop clear, evidence-based POVs on themes, market trends, and shifts in investor, issuer, and intermediary behavior.
- Collaborate with internal SMEs to ensure accuracy, strategic alignment, and thought leadership relevance.
- Partner with product, strategy, legal, and compliance teams to validate perspectives and ensure consistency with corporate positioning.
Insight & Report Writing
- Produce research reports, thematic papers, and trend analyses covering investment operations, custody services, fund administration, data & digital transformation, and market innovation.
- Write concise executive summaries, talking points, and client briefings for use in leadership communications, advisory engagements, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Develop content for newsletters, webinars, and client presentations
Data & Trend Analysis
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative information from industry research, market data, regulatory releases, and policy consultations.
- Identify long-term trends affecting investment services, including digital asset frameworks, tokenization, operational transformation, AI governance, and sustainability regulation.
- Track competitive developments, regulatory divergences, and jurisdictional movements.
Skills & Knowledge
Qualification & Certifications
- 8+ years' experience in investment management/ servicing industry or, in general, financial services industry, MBA/CFA/CA preferable
- Prior experience working with market research and consulting companies
- Prior experience developing market reports, thought leadership research articles, POVs, from scoping to completion
- Excellent secondary research and data analysis skills, with strong attention to detail
Primary Skills (Must Have)
- Good knowledge of investment management/servicing industry
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office, including structuring, charting and visualization
- Experience with producing content for and presenting to the executive-level
- Experienced professional, eloquent, articulate and organized and disciplined; effectively work in a globally diverse and matrixed environment
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, meet deadlines and effectively execute in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proactive approach to problem-solving; Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Excellent communication skills and written skills. Must have the ability to comfortably interact & communicate with all levels of the organization
