The Role

We are seeking an accomplished Managing Director - M&A to join our leadership sales and closing team. This is a senior, client-facing role for an individual with a proven track record of successfully structuring and closing transactions. The Managing Director will lead transactions, deal teams, guide clients through complex closing processes, and ensure outcomes that consistently exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• • Lead execution and closing of M&A transactions, including sales, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, and strategic sales.
  • Build and/or close trusted relationships with business owners, executives, investors, and strategic buyers.
  • Manage and mentor clients, deal teams, providing strategic direction throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Guide client engagements from initial strategy and valuation through to negotiation and closing.
  • Apply Aaron Bell International's proprietary valuation tools and 60+ parameter review framework to unlock maximum value for clients.
  • Hire and train team managers, M&A reps, close client transactions
  • Contribute to firm-wide strategy, growth initiatives, management and thought leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

• • Minimum 15+ years of experience in M&A sales, investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or M&A advisory.
  • Proven track record of closing at least 10 M&A transactions (sell-side preferably and/or buy-side), ideally across multiple industries. (Industry specialties OK).
  • Strong network of C-suite executives, investors, and strategic buyers.
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation, transaction structuring, and negotiation.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced credential preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of a CRM, ideally HubSpot
