We are looking for resourceful candidates to join our Fundamental Equities team within the Financial Research group, based in Bengaluru. The team collaborates closely with front office groups to provide high-quality, in-depth research and analysis, supporting investment strategies, and decision-making processes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO DAY-TO-DAY
In this role, you will cover companies primarily within the energy and industrials space and contribute to the development of investment views through rigorous fundamental analysis. You will track news flows and sell-side research perspectives, analyze earnings developments, and build and maintain detailed financial models to support ongoing research coverage. You will prepare clear and insightful investment write-ups and presentations, highlighting key risks, catalysts, and valuation considerations. You will conduct in-depth benchmarking of valuation and operational metrics against peer groups, along with sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess potential outcomes. You will collaborate closely with front office teams to refine financial models and support the evolution of investment theses. Additionally, you will participate in management, sell-side, intermediary, and sector expert calls, and maintain comprehensive industry trackers to inform research efforts.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate should hold-
Basic qualifications:
- A degree in finance or equivalent (MBA, CFA, or CA), with 5 to 10 years of investment research experience
- Demonstrated hands-on financial modeling and valuation skills
- Robust analytical aptitude and keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate investment analysis and perspectives
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior research experience in energy or industrial sector across any geography
