About Us

Live Oak Veterinary Specialists (LOVS) is an independently owned, specialty and emergency hospital founded by Jason King, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology), cMAV, cVPP, MBA. Dr. King brings over 15 years of specialty experience and a passion for progressive, team-driven medicine. With training in acupuncture, pain management, and an MBA, he leads with both clinical and business insight — fostering a workplace that values collaboration, growth, and balance.

ER Doctors: $150K base + 25% production (paid quarterly, no negative accrual)

• Signing bonuses: $75K for specialists / $45K for ER doctors (paid over 3 years)
• Relocation bonuses available

Technicians:

• Starting at $18/hr, higher for RVT/LVT/CVT and VTS certifications
• VTS technicians can manage recheck appointments and earn production bonuses
