Job Intent
The incumbent will play a key role in supporting the Fund Management team by generating actionable investment ideas within the Auto and Auto Ancillary sector, backed by rigorous research and analysis. The role involves identifying high-conviction opportunities, tracking sectoral trends, and contributing to superior fund performance through well-informed investment recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed research and financial analysis on companies within the Auto and Auto Ancillary sector, including OEMs, component manufacturers, and related value-chain businesses.
Track sectoral developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic indicators impacting the Auto sector.
Develop and present well-structured investment recommendations supported by comprehensive models and qualitative insights.
Work closely with Fund Managers to generate Alpha-driven ideas and support portfolio construction decisions.
Maintain and update detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses.
Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and all internal investment and governance policies.
Contribute to research publications, thematic notes, and internal sector reviews.
Support and mentor junior research team members to enhance overall research quality and output.
Requirements
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience in buy-side equity research, with a strong focus on the Auto and Auto Ancillary sector.
- Education: MBA (Finance), Chartered Accountant (CA), or CFA (preferred).
- Demonstrated track record of stability and consistency across prior roles.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to interpret macro and micro trends to identify investment opportunities.
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to contribute to collaborative fund management processes.
