Company OverviewOur Client is spearheading a national-scale digital transformation of Nigeria's education sector with a mission to create a fully integrated digital learning ecosystem by providing students with cutting-edge technology, curated digital content, and a powerful Learning Management System (LMS) enhanced by Artificial Intelligence. Their goal is to build the future of education, today.
Position Summary
We are seeking a visionary and technically profound Digital Executive Project Manager to own and drive the digital and AI-centric components of our transformation program. This is not a traditional PM role; it is a strategic leadership position requiring deep expertise in AI, LLMs, and digital product management. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of our digital platform suite, including the AI-powered LMS, digital content repository, and student/parent engagement tools, ensuring they form a cohesive, intelligent, and transformative system. This role, reports directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Execution:
- Act as the CEO's primary advisor on all digital and AI-related project deliverables.
- Define and own the project charter, roadmap, and integrated project plan for the digital transformation workstream.
- Establish and lead a Project Management Office (PMO) for the digital stream, setting standards for reporting, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Present compelling, data-driven updates to the Board, investors, and government stakeholders.
Technical Delivery & AI Integration:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of the AI-powered Learning Management System (LMS) and administrative tools.
- Apply hands-on expertise in Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Agentic AI to architect solutions for personalized learning, automated administrative tasks, and intelligent content delivery.
- Oversee the development and integration of the suite of digital textbooks and educational software.
- Champion Prompt Engineering and Context Engineering best practices to ensure the AI systems are effective, unbiased, and contextually relevant to the Nigerian educational landscape.
- Manage vendor relationships with software development firms, AI labs, and content providers.
Stakeholder & Governance Management:
- Serve as the single point of contact for all digital workstream executive communications.
- Manage complex stakeholder landscapes, including school administrators, teachers, parents, and content creation partners.
- Implement and manage both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) for software development and Waterfall methodologies for large-scale rollouts, using tools like Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
- Essential: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Essential: 7+ years of senior project/program management experience, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale (budget >$5M) digital transformation projects.
- Non-Negotiable Expertise: Demonstrable, hands-on proficiency in AI, LLM, Machine Learning, and Agentic AI. Must be able to articulate past projects where these technologies were central to the solution.
- Non-Negotiable Experience: Direct experience in setting up and running a Project Management Office (PMO), with a certification such as PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2.
- Extensive experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, proven through hands-on management of complex project timelines and dependencies.
- A documented history of working with and presenting to C-level leadership of globally recognized corporations (e.g., Fortune 500, Big 4 consulting, major tech firms).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
