This is more than a compensation role — it is an opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, influence workforce strategy, and drive meaningful organizational outcomes across a complex healthcare environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Director, Compensation, the Compensation Partner serves as a confidential subject matter expert and strategic consultant to leaders, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Workforce Planning.
You will leverage strong business acumen and advanced analytical expertise to design, implement, and maintain compensation programs that attract, retain, and engage top talent while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Strategic Partnership & Consulting
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on wage strategy, internal equity, reorganizations, and compensation policy interpretation
- Support workforce planning initiatives, recruitment strategies, and retention efforts
- Influence compensation decisions that align with business priorities
Job Evaluation & Market Analysis
- Evaluate job descriptions and determine FLSA classifications
- Conduct market pricing and benchmarking analyses
- Identify and resolve internal equity and grade discrepancies
- Conducting equity reviews
- Provide data-driven recommendations for pay structures and adjustments
Compensation Programs & Incentives
- Administer and support Pay for Performance programs
- Develop and maintain short-term incentive and variable compensation plans
- Conduct costing analyses and market competitiveness reviews
- Prepare recommendations and presentations for leadership
Survey & Data Management
- Participate in and manage salary surveys
- Maintain compensation data systems and analytical models
- Develop complex spreadsheets and financial analyses
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Partner with Payroll and HR teams to resolve pay-related matters
- Facilitate compensation training sessions for leaders
- Mentor Compensation Analysts and Associates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, required
- Minimum 5 years of compensation experience in a comparably sized, fast-paced organization
- An advanced graduate degree such as an MBA in finance or business may be substituted for some of the years of experience
- Strong expertise in job evaluation and FLSA regulations
- Experience conducting market analysis and salary survey participation
- Advanced Excel and data modeling skills- absolutely critical to have
- Demonstrated ability to consult, influence, and build relationships across all organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience supporting union environments
- Exposure to physician or variable compensation programs
Schedule:
- Full-time
- 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm
Locations:
- 280 Chestnut St.
- Springfield, MA
- Hybrid Opportunity- must be able to come on-site 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday)

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
Minimum – Midpoint – Maximum
$81,432.00 – $97,302.00 – $119,412.00
