The AACSB accredited College of Business at Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track position in Finance at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 2026. The selected candidate will report to the Chair of the Department of Economics and Finance. Applicants will be considered from all areas of Finance Systems, for individuals who meet our AACSB qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Teach finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, in face-to-face and online settings.
- Produce scholarship at a level consistent with our AACSB Scholarly Academic standards.
- Participate in service activities at the university, college, and department levels, as well as in community and profession.
- Participate in the assessment of student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- A doctoral degree in finance or a related discipline with a strong research background in business from an AACSB accredited university.
- ABD applicants with an expected completion date prior to August 2026 will be considered.
- Evidence of effective teaching and research commensurate with years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of demonstrated teaching effectiveness, teaching finance classes.
- Applicants who can teach in multiple areas in finance, especially financial management, investments, international finance, and financial markets and institutions.
- Position-related certifications.
