ADVISOR SENIOR - FOREIGN EXCHANGEWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Senior Foreign Exchange advisor plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of our foreign exchange (FX) sales desk. This client-facing position requires exceptional leadership, strong sales expertise, communication skills, and the ability to navigate legal and financial documentation to provide customized solutions to existing and prospective clients. The Senior FX Advisor will lead with strategic vision while executing tactical sales initiatives to drive measurable results. Will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify new opportunities, service existing clients, and ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of FX solutions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Drive revenue growth by leading the delivery of FX solutions tailored to clients' unique needs, ensuring a seamless process from identifying opportunities to execution.
- Identify new business opportunities. Analyze client foreign currency exposures and risks and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies. Structure, price, and execute transactions with precision and accountability.
- Directly manage, develop, and deepen engagement with select client coverage within the portfolio across middle market, commercial banking, and mid corporate clients as well as asset management and/or entertainment firms.
- Act as a senior advisor, demonstrating expertise in foreign exchange products, industry trends, and market dynamics to deliver strategic guidance to clients.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including trading, operations, compliance, and risk, to ensure successful execution of transactions and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Actively assist in negotiating ISDAs, CSAs, and other FX-related legal documentation. ensuring alignment with client requirements, regulatory adherence and robust internal controls.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture by mentoring and developing junior colleagues, sharing expertise and promoting continuous learning within the team.
- Exhibit strong leadership in driving team performance, maintaining high standards of client service, and aligning efforts with overall business objectives.
- Represent the FX sales team with a high level of professionalism, serving as a trusted partner to clients and internal stakeholders alike.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent MBA and/or CFA preferred
- Minimum 8 years (10+ years preferred) of experience in Foreign Exchange and/or capital markets sales and analysis.
- Minimum 8 years of experience using financial market-related software systems and applications including Bloomberg and multi-dealer platforms (e.g. FX All, FX Connect).
Additional Qualifications
- Prefer 10+ years of experience in Foreign Exchange and/or capital markets sales and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of FX, pricing, and trading/hedging strategies, including related risks. Understanding of FX related credit, processes, and procedures.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, and proactive
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Familiarity reviewing financial reports, legal documents, and FX-specific documents (e.g. CSAs, ISDAs, etc.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Compensation
Starting base salary: $127,626 - $237,014 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
