The Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) is a medium-sized (25 employee) applied research center housed in the College of Business at the University of Montana.  Its growth since its founding in 1948 has largely come about from specialization in five areas of expertise:  health care research, survey research, forest products research, economic analysis, and publications and outreach.  The mission of the BBER is to provide an understanding of the economic environment in which Montanans live and work.  More information on the BBER and its activities can be found at the Bureau’s web site.
