Role Overview
We are looking for a technically strong and commercially minded Risk & Structuring Analyst to join our team in Warsaw. While our Business Analysts act as a general hub, this role is a specialized position focused on the core of our lending business. You will play a pivotal role in assessing credit risk, structuring financial solutions for SMEs, and ensuring our portfolio remains healthy.
This is a unique opportunity to build a transformative fintech product from the ground up while applying advanced financial knowledge in a real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities – Things You Will Do
Credit Risk Assessment & Financial Modelling: A Take ownership of the comprehensive assessment of credit risk for potential SME clients. Analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to determine debt service capacity. Build and maintain robust financial models to stress-test borrower performance under various economic scenarios.
Deal Structuring: Work closely with the Sales team to structure lending solutions that meet client needs while adhering to PaveNow’s risk appetite. Propose specific loan terms, covenants, and collateral structures to mitigate identified risks. Prepare investment memorandums and present recommendations to the Credit Committee.
Portfolio Monitoring & Analytics: Monitor the health of the existing loan portfolio and identify early warning signals. Support the leadership team with market intelligence regarding economic conditions that may impact credit quality. Assist in refining credit procedures and automating risk workflows to improve operational efficiency.
New Product Development: Collaborate with leadership to design the risk parameters for new lending products. Build and refine the financial models that determine our internal credit scoring and risk appetite.
Requirements
Our Selection Criteria (must have)
Must possess one of the following: CFA Level 1 (or higher) passed OR MBA in Finance (completed).
Must be based in Poland already (Polish citizen or possess work permit for Poland already)
Work experience of at least 2 years in similar role
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Excellent proficiency in Excel (financial modelling) and PowerPoint.
Strong communication skills in English (B2+ level)
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw logical conclusions from data.
