The Investment Office at Exelon is responsible for the oversight of over $17 billion in Trust assets for Exelon, spanning the pension, post-retirement healthcare, savings plan, and Exelon Foundation. The Investment Office is staffed by a small and collaborative team of investment professionals with support from the broader Exelon organization. This position provides critical analytical support for identifying and underwriting new investments, engaging in oversight of existing investments, and assisting with various research, operational, and reporting obligations as may materialize. The Sr. Investment Analyst will gain broad-based exposure to a variety of asset classes, including private equity, real estate, fixed income, equities, and various hedge fund strategies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support Portfolio Managers & senior Investments leadership in the ongoing monitoring of existing investments across trusts (35%)
Assist Portfolio Managers & senior Investments leadership in the due diligence of new investment relationships, including preparing new analyses and leveraging 3rd party research(25%)
Assist senior Investments leadership in special projects that relate to the management and implementation of the various trust assets overseen by the Investment Office (20%)
Work collaboratively with colleagues on the Investment Operations team to support reporting and analyses to keep the investment office running efficiently (20%)
JOB SCOPE
The Candidate will report to the Managing Director of Investments but will be accountable to and work closely with all members of the Investment Office, including the Chief Investment Officer of Exelon
This position may occasionally require overnight domestic travel
The Exelon Investment Office does not make use of a retained investment consultant, therefore the Candidate may have significantly more responsibility and portfolio impact than similar positions at peer institutions

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in finance or general business administration from an accredited four year university
4-7 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field and at least 2 years of work experience in investments or an adjacent finance-related field.
Working knowledge of or experience in various institutional investment strategies
Robust analytical skills with ability to synthesize large amount of data from various sources; advanced Excel user and proficient in other Microsoft Office suite applications
Understanding of investment, finance, economic practices and performance measurement
Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively balance multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's in Financial Engineering, CFA, or MBA designation strongly preferred.
Experience in Systems (Aladdin, MSCI Barra, Bloomberg, Moody's DB PFaroe)
Experience in AI and/or Python Coding
