Job title: Assistant Vice President - Fund Accounting Oversight Specialist - Private Assets
Team: I nvestment Accounting Services
Job Location: Mumbai
Shift: UK hours

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

• Lead the oversight team with accountability for NAV oversight and fund financial reporting oversight.
• Maintain close collaboration and integration with offshore partners, including India based colleagues.
• Deliver BAU oversight across complex technical areas within financial reporting, fund accounting and NAV oversight.
• Act as SME for fund accounting oversight, including Financial Reporting and Costs & Charges.
• Oversee error and risk validation, analyse control failures, direct remediation activity and support Risk and Compliance investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, controls and oversight.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder queries.
• Build and maintain relationships with TPAs, auditors and key internal partners.
• Shape and maintain the control governance framework.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification
Skills:

• Strong technical expertise in fund accounting, NAV components, pricing, and financial reporting, with knowledge of accounting standards and regulations across key jurisdictions (UK, Ireland, Luxembourg).
• Deep understanding of fund structures and private market asset classes (e.g., LP/GP, ICAV, RAIF; private debt, real estate, alternative credit) including complex valuation methodologies.
• Strong risk, controls, and governance mindset, with the ability to challenge constructively, assess complex issues, and make clear, well-informed decisions.
• Proven experience operating within an outsourced/TPA model, with effective oversight, review, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to investigate issues, cut through complexity, and drive timely resolution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence TPAs, auditors, and internal teams across technical and non-technical contexts.
• Ability to work with autonomy, accountability, and sound judgement, contributing to team delivery and broader business outcomes.

Experience:

• 10-15 years of experience in financial services. Min 10 years of experience in Fund accounting oversight or fund financial reporting oversight with at least 8 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Educational Qualification:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CA, MBA Finance) are a plus.
• Relevant IOC or Investment Management qualification / Certification would be desirable.
