Berea College announces a full-time, three-year contract position in the Economics and Business Department, beginning August 2025. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate marketing courses. Required courses include Principles of Marketing, and Marketing Research, with experience in teaching International Business a plus. Other teaching or research interests will be considered. There will also be opportunities to teach in the College’s General Studies program, to develop and teach interdisciplinary courses or to offer additional marketing courses as needed. We seek a colleague committed to excellence in teaching and research and who, in an undergraduate liberal arts environment, will find ways to grow professionally, and enjoy interacting with students on a one-on-one basis. Additional responsibilities include academic advising; teaching assistant mentoring; assisting the department with curriculum development, assessment, and other activities; and participating in college wide activities. The teaching load is six courses per year. Preference will be given to applicants holding a Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing and who have undergraduate teaching experience, but an MBA combined with relevant applied professional experience, or a Ph.D. candidate at the dissertation stage would also be considered. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with education, experience, and scholarship record.
