The Carter School of Business (CSB) at Dallas Baptist University is presently receiving applications for a full-time Associate Dean of Graduate Programs to start June 2026. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will provide oversight and coordination for a specific graduate program or a group of programs and provide leadership support for other graduate business directors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and coordinate the MBA graduate program
Recruit students for the program and deploy retention methods
Coordinate with relevant faculty and staff on curriculum matters including degree requirements, course rotation, faculty course staffing, degree plans, and catalog information
Connect with relevant organizations, businesses, and other entities to promote the program(s) and secure possible employment opportunities for students
Teach a variety of business courses consistent with program needs and academic credentials
Develop and update curriculum to reflect current industry trends and best practices and incorporate experiential learning opportunities into coursework
Work with scheduling coordinator on the following:
Graduate Course offerings and scheduling
Graduate Continuous Progress and Independent Studies
Work with Program Directors and Department Chairs on:
Graduate Course rotations
Staffing Graduate courses
Submitting Graduate curriculum changes in accordance with university policies
Recruiting and hiring new faculty for Graduate programs
Provide leadership and oversight for all graduate business programs and program directors
Track the progress of the Graduate Business Programs in meeting the goals and initiatives in the School of Business strategic plan
Participate in ongoing assurance of learning processes, evaluations, assessments, and reporting as necessary to maintain the university and business school accreditations
Maintain office hours to mentor and advise students
Participate in faculty meetings and serve on university committees
Participate in campus events including commencement, and assist in hosting business related functions and events on campus
Model genuine Christian faith in and beyond the classroom
Intentionally and explicitly integrate the Christian faith with teaching and scholarship.
Participate in various forms of professional development sponsored by the University and external organizations
Coordinate with the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs on all matters related to program administration, class scheduling, student advising, and recruitment and retention efforts
Coordinate with Graduate Affairs and the Dean on all matters related to program administration, program promotion, recruitment, and retention for graduate program in sport management
Coordinate with Dean, Graduate Affairs and University Communications to effectively promote the program(s) and keep the marketing materials updated
WORK SCHEDULE:
This position is a full-time position with a twelve-month contract at the DBU campus in Dallas. Classes may be taught in person, online, or in a hybrid format.
The Associate Dean and Program Director is a teaching faculty member who teaches a reduced academic load based on administrative responsibilities and/or other duties.
WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211
Requirements
MISSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a Christian and a member of a church that holds to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in the New and Old Testaments of the Holy Bible.
Must be an active member of a local Baptist church that holds to beliefs consistent with the statement above.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
The Associate Dean will serve as a Program Director for the MBA program and Program Directors must hold a terminal degree in business or a related field
For Teaching on the Undergraduate Level: Must have completed at least 18 graduate semester hours in a business discipline and hold at least a master's degree or hold at least a master's degree with a major in business or a related discipline.
For Teaching on the Graduate Level: Must hold a terminal degree, usually an earned doctorate, in business or a related discipline.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the business industry
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading others
