American Management Association (AMA), a leader in professional talent development is hiring Regional Directors who will be responsible for account growth and business development for Midmarket Sales and Government accounts in respective territories.
Job Responsibilities
Account acquisition, retention and growth of targeted accounts with mid to senior level executive contacts, relationship building, prospecting, networking strategies, and consultative selling skills.
Account penetration, expansion of current business to increase sales volume per account via selling full range of AMA products and services.
Account expansion through prospecting to new and dormant accounts.
Account retention via contracts, strategic selling, and penetration to new functional buying areas.
Assessments of client business issues and performance gaps, recommendations of appropriate training and development solutions.
$1,000,000+ annual sales with appropriate profitability.
Achieve individual and team goals for growth through collaboration.
Demonstrate competencies in account development, sales relationships, consultative selling, analysis of business performance issues and appropriate solutions, account management, faculty management, product knowledge and application, networking, and prospecting skills. These competencies must be demonstrated with a proven track record in obtaining new business, team skills, application of knowledge relative to training and development, talent management, and human resource performance improvement.
Presentations, written and verbal communications, business issue-based proposal writing, which are aligned to client issues and performance needs.
Build credibility for AMA-CLS within geographic territory.
Other related duties.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree required, MBA or advanced studies desired.
3-5 years of demonstrated successful selling professional services.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive quotas in a B to B environment.
Residency within commuting distance to AMA's Headquarters in New York City preferred
Excellent verbal and written skills required.
Proven self-starter who can work both as a collaborative team member and as an independent salesperson.
Experience working with/selling to senior executives.
Proven success in sales is required.
Must be willing to prospect and have a high energy level.
Proficient in SalesForce.com and MS Office
Travel in accordance with business need.
