MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:• Manage and maintain strong relationships with business units to understand and align their requirements with IT capacity and budget, ensuring effective demand capture and prioritization.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reports to provide transparency over the demand pipeline for management and business units.
• Analyze project constraints, risks, and interdependencies within and across portfolios to optimize resource utilization and delivery timelines.
• Maintain the IT master plan, ensuring timelines are continuously updated according to identified dependencies and changing priorities.
• Evaluate and adjust project priorities based on business needs, constraints, and portfolio strategy.
• Contribute to improving portfolio governance, reporting accuracy, and overall PMO maturity.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Oversee and support project managers within the portfolio to ensure consistent application of project management methodologies and standards.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, promoting best practices in portfolio and program management.
• Coordinate with senior leadership to align strategic initiatives and resource planning across multiple portfolios.
RequirementsSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND TRAINING REQUIRED: • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent master's degree.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PfMP, PgMP, or Agile/SAFe are a plus.
• Proven experience in budget and capacity management, dashboard development, and portfolio performance monitoring.
• Strong background in delivering IT programs and projects within the banking sector.
• Demonstrated experience in leading large teams and managing multiple project managers across complex initiatives.
• Expertise in strategic planning and PMO setup, governance, and operations.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: • 10-15 years of experience in project or portfolio management.
• Minimum of 3-4 years in establishing and operating a PMO office.
